Employment law or labour law is the body of laws, administrative rulings and various precedents which address the legal rights of the working people and their organizations. They also apply restrictions on various working conditions of the workers under which they work. Employment laws are developed so as to remove the problems between the employer and the employees, which develop due to issues on salary, working hours, claims in times of any tragedy, working environment, conditions of machines and various other facilities which should be made available to the workers. There are generally two types of labour laws, the first one is collective labour law, and this law creates a relationship between the employer, employee and the union. The second rule is meant for individual labour only and aims at employees’ rights at the work and through the contact for work. The workers who are uneducated and are from poor background are generally underpaid and their employers take advantage of them by underpaying, the employment law take care of this fact and also ensures that each worker is getting the same wage irrespective of sex, caste and color etc. labour law also ensures proper working time of 8 hours a day after this much time the worker is considered to be doing overtime and should be paid accordingly to the number of hours he was employed for.
